Modern hoops and jumping, balance and slalom bars and tunnels are our suggestions for effective training for our little friends. Dogs will never be bored with Lars Laj!

Here are our tips for creating the perfect space for our four-legged friends to play and develop:

1. Number of devices adapted to the size of your terrain

When designing the space for a dog run, it should be remembered that the number of equipment that can be placed in it depends on the size of the area at our disposal. Dogs should have enough amount of space to run, and the equipment should not overlap, so that they can be used freely.

OUR TIP

If you have a small amount of space, choose one of the devices from each category. For example, one jumping practice machine, one balance beam and one tunnel.

2. A playground for dogs is not only about training devices

In addition to the set of devices, the park should include:

• a place for owners to rest,
• urban furniture necessary to keep clean,
• a separate place for a toilet for dogs.

3. Selection of appropriate devices

1. AGILITY TUNNEL

It is the easiest obstacle so it’s a good starting point. A dog should run at full speed to the entrance of the tunnel, then run through it and exit quickly.

2. AGILITY JUMP  BARS SET 

Dogs love jumping by nature! Depending on your dog's height and strength, you can choose one of three different heights to train. Please note that both before and behind the obstacle there should be enough space to start and finish the jump. 

3.  AGILITY MINI STEPPING PLATFORMS

To properly perform the exercise, the dog should step on or jump on the step. The steps have different heights. This exercise is great for improving the dog's motor skills and coordination. 



4. AGILITY HIGHJUMP BARS

In order to overcome an obstacle, the dog should jump over bollards one by one. To do this exercise, the dog needs to run. 

5. AGILITY WALK RAMP

A dog can walk or run up the ramp, then along the top of the plank and down the other side of the plank. Similarly, as with an a-frame ramp, the bottom areas of the ramp are “contact areas” which a dog should touch with its paw before running up or down to complete the agility task.

6. AGILITY MINI JUMP BARS 

The dog should jump over bollards one by one. To complete the exercise, the dog should run. 

7. AGILITY SEESAW

A dog can walk or run up the seesaw, move along until the seesaw tilts over to the other end. The bottom areas of the seesaw are “contact areas” which the dog should touch with its paw before running up or down to complete the agility task

8. AGILITY WEAVE POLES

It is the best to start with just 6 poles. It is generally required that a dog should enter from the right side of the first pole at top speed and exit to the left side of the last. The dog should weave through each pole as quickly as possible and stay as close to the centre line as possible.



9. AGILITY A-FRAME RAMP

A dog can walk or run up to the top of the ramp and descend to the other side. The bottom areas of the ramp are “contact areas” which a dog should touch with a paw before running up or down to correctly complete the agility task.

10. AGILITY DOOBLE HOOP JUMP

The dog should jump through the rims without touching them. To teach them correctly, they should start with the lowest rim.

Let's remember that creating a dog park will not only make the pets from the area gain a great place of entertainment, and their owners an interesting alternative to spending free time. The agility park is also an opportunity for the development of our pet on many levels.

The advantages of exercising on agility equipment include:

• Improving the physical activity of both dog and owner;

• Improving the dog's skills - listening, remembering, combining facts;

• General fitness enhancement (outdoor exercises with lots of repetitions and intensive movement between devices can be a great form of training);

• Supporting the dog's motor coordination;

• Building a relationship between the owner and the dog;

• Exercising concentration skills (especially when there are other dogs nearby);

• Strengthening social bonds, both by the dog and owner.
