Before the commencement of the works, the site was an undeveloped raw space with visible native soil, heaps of earth and basic technical infrastructure. There was a lack of greenery, and the surface was unsuitable for public use. The area required full preparation, from the ground up. From installing the safety surface to installing the play equipment.
.
Today, it is a completely transformed place. It impresses with its visual coherence, build quality and functionality. The playground has been designed in the Nordic spirit using equipment from Lars Laj's Nature series - made from durable acacia robinia wood and larch. These natural materials ideally reflect the harsh atmosphere of the Viking world and guarantee weather resistance.

At the centre of the square is the impressive Khumbu play set, which is the focal point of the entire space. It consists of towers, bridges, slides and climbing elements, allowing children to play in the spirit of adventure and discover the world of Nordic heroes. In addition, the playground has been enriched with a variety of activity zones, and the whole is complemented by other elements from the Nature line, which blend in perfectly with the main set and create a coherent, natural play space.

.
For the project, we also created a dedicated information board, designed to fit in perfectly with the Viking atmosphere. The stylised graphics, raw wood and humorous language make it not only a source of information but also an element that builds the atmosphere of the entire space.

This project demonstrates that a modern playground can not only be a place for activity, but also a key element of a theme park. An inspired space, developed to fit perfectly with the principles of contemporary education through play.
