The project demonstrates how a thoughtfully designed playground can transform a public space into a vibrant meeting place for children, families and the wider community. The new equipment expands the range of available activities while blending naturally into the surrounding landscape.

Wood, stainless steel and durable ropes were used throughout the structures, creating a modern yet natural appearance. These carefully selected materials provide strength, functionality and visual harmony with the green environment.

A Multifunctional Play Structure at the Heart of the Playground

The centrepiece of the playground is an extensive multifunctional play structure Khumbu (13123) designed to encourage movement, creativity and adventure.

The structure includes:

• a rope-climbing area that invites children to climb and explore different levels,
• ladders that support the development of strength, coordination and physical fitness,
• a playhouse that can become a base, hideaway or meeting point,
• a bridge connecting different parts of the structure,
• two slides offering children multiple routes through the play experience

Combining many features within a single structure means that the fun does not end after one climb or one trip down the slide. Children can create their own routes, race each other, cooperate and gradually take on more challenging activities.

This type of play supports more than physical development. Shared experiences also help children practise communication, patience, teamwork and respect for others.

More Attractions for Different Types of Play

Additional play equipment has been installed near the main structure to provide even more variety.

One of the most popular attractions is the “bird nest swing”. Its wide seat allows children to swing independently or enjoy the experience together. It is perfect for energetic play, but it can also offer a relaxing place to slow down and rest.

A balance beam encourages children to practise concentration, coordination and body control. Each attempt becomes a small challenge, helping young users build confidence as they improve their balance.

The playground also features a roundabout and a spring rider. These attractions provide plenty of excitement while ensuring that the space meets a wide range of needs - from energetic group play to shorter, accessible activities for younger children.

A Comfortable Space for the Whole Family

A well-designed playground should be comfortable not only for children, but also for the parents and caregivers accompanying them.

Benches have been positioned around the play area, allowing adults to rest, talk and supervise children comfortably. A hammock creates a quieter relaxation zone, offering the perfect place to take a break after active play or enjoy a peaceful moment surrounded by greenery.

Waste bins and other elements of outdoor furniture complete the space and help create a clean, functional and welcoming environment.

The equipment has been installed on a sand surface, while fencing clearly separates the playground from the surrounding area. These solutions improve comfort and help create a dedicated space for children’s activities.
